Four-Gallon Stoneware Jug-Form Cooler with Cobalt Decoration, Stamped "HAXSTUN & CO. / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.," circa 1880, cylindrical jug with tooled spout and circular bung hole at base, decorated with a slip-trailed foliate motif. Cobalt accents to maker's mark and capacity mark. A 1 1/2" flake to base of bunghole. Some staining. Very minor fry to cobalt. A small in-the-firing surface chip to reverse. A minor spout chip. H 17".
