One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Stamped "WINE," attributed to Branch Green, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1820, ovoid jug with heavily-tooled spout, decorated with a cobalt band around the shoulder. Very nice condition with some in-the-firing residue to reverse and shoulder, a 1 1/4" flake to underside at edge, a small in-the-firing ping at base on reverse, and some small in-the-firing contact marks to surface. H 11".
