Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Chester County, PA origin, third quarter 19th century, ovoid pitcher with tooled rim, brush-decorated around the body with a swag-and-hanging-flower motif. Floral devices to collar and stripes to spout. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. An in-the-firing base chip, partially glazed over. A 1 3/8" in-the-firing flake to top of spout. Two other small spout chips. A 3/4" in-the-firing flake to top of rim. An in-the-firing lime ping to front. H 8 1/2".
