One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG, PA," circa 1865, ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, brush-decorated with a large horizontal tulip motif. Cobalt accents to maker's mark and highlights to handle terminals. Excellent condition with a 2 1/4" vertical in-the-firing line at base, which is glazed over. H 11".
