Three One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorate Stoneware Jugs, Norton Family, Bennington, VT, mid 19th century. one with slip-trailed "turnip" motif, stamped "J. & E. NORTON / BENNINGTON VT;" one with slip-trailed floral motif, stamped "J. & E. NORTON / BENNINGTON VT.;" and a one with slip-trailed floral motif, stamped "J. NORTON & CO / BENNINGTON, VT:." Shortest with a Y-shaped crack on underside, part of which extends up reverse, staining to base on reverse, and small chips to base. Middle-sized jug with staining. Largest with a large chip to underside at edge, spout chips, staining, crazing to base area, a small in-the-firing iron ping to front, and a short crack / minor chip to handle.
