Two Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Crocks, Norton Family, Bennington, VT, mid 19th century, both of cylindrical, handled form, one with brushed design of three conjoined flowers, stamped "NORTON & FENTON / BENNINGTON Vt," the other with stylized, slip-trailed floral motif, stamped "J. & E. NORTON / BENNINGTON VT." Norton & Fenton crock with a crack across underside, forming a spider crack on side of crock, a short surface line on reverse, a minor nick on interior of rim, and staining. Norton crock with a faint 3 1/4" line to reverse, minor staining to exterior, water glass staining to interior, and a minor handle chip. H (of Norton crock) 9 1/4".
