Three Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Crocks, Norton Family, Bennington, VT, second half 19th century, all of cylindrical, handled form with abstract slip-trailed floral sprays; a two-gallon crock, stamped "J. & E. NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT," circa 1855 and two four-gallon crocks, stamped "E & L P NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT," circa 1870. Two-gallon crock with significant restoration, not affecting decoration, and a large Y-shaped line on reverse. One four-gallon crock with significant restoration to rim and one handle possibly fully restored, including peeling to restoration, as well as a filled crack in underside, extending partway up side of crock. Other four-gallon crock with wide crack from rim, rim chips, one handle reglued, some minor exfoliation to surface, and exfoliation to underside. H (of tallest) 11 1/8".
