Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, Somerset Potter's Works, Somerset, MA, circa 1875, a six-quart cylindrical crock with stenciled shaking hands decoration, unmarked; paired with a two-gallon jug with slip-trailed floral decoration, stamped "SOMERSET, / POTTERS WORKS,". Crock in excellent condition with two minor, in-the-firing iron pings and a tiny in-the-firing chip to top of rim. Jug with spout chips and minor fry to cobalt. H (of crock) 8 5/8".
