Small-Sized Tanware Pitcher, New Geneva or Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1885, vasiform pitcher with flared rim and raised band at base of collar, decorated in Albany slip across the midsection with a freehand vine motif. Dashed Albany slip brushwork above and running along spot. Dipped Albany slip drape motif at rim and stripe at base. Albany slip highlight to lower handle terminal. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a minor in-the-firing nick to spout, two tiny worn spots to top of rim, probably in-the-firing, and a tiny in-the-firing ping to collar. H 5 3/4".
