Very Rare Small-Sized Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Henry Harrison Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1835, ovoid jug with tooled spout, decorated with a brushed flowering plant bearing two fan-shaped blossoms. Few decorated jugs from Philadelphia are known, this example featuring an exceptional, small size and brushwork linking it to the Remmeys' early years of production in the city. Base chips. A spout chip and minor spout nick. Some light wear to cobalt. H 8".
