Rare Slip-Decorated Stoneware Pitcher, attributed to Shimuel Timmerman, Lanier County, GA, late 19th century, ovoid pitcher with flared collar, the surface decorated with brushed copper and cobalt slip banding over a cream ground. Desirable form and distinctive, colorful glaze scheme. Very nice condition. A chip to inner edge of spout, where spout meets rim. Four small rim chips. Three short lines from rim, each measuring approximately 3/4". An in-the-firing contact mark to reverse. H 8 3/4".
