Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Handled Vessel, Edgefield District, SC, mid 19th century, ovoid form with footed base and coved rim, the surface covered in a mottled, olive-colored alkaline glaze. Designed as either a clabber bowl or chamber pot. Very nice condition with a small worn spot to rim, minor surface and handle wear, and some faint lines at base. H 7 1/2" ; Diam. 7 3/4".
