Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Clabber Bowl, attributed to Thomas Chandler, Edgefield District, SC, circa 1850, flaring form with coved rim moldings and unusual tooled line details to bottom half, the exterior covered in a green alkaline glaze, the interior covered in celadon alkaline glaze. Excellent condition with light wear to interior base and a tiny rim nick. H 6 1/4" ; Diam. (across top) 8".
