Rare Stoneware Flowerpot with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Beaver, PA origin, circa 1865, flared flowerpot with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and original drain hole in underside, brush-decorated over slip-coated clay with leaves and flowers emanating from a sinuous stem. Few flowerpots from this Western Pennsylvania potting school are known. A 6 3/4" vertical crack from rim. Otherwise excellent condition. H 7 3/4" ; Diam. 8 1/4".
