Very Rare Stoneware Tankard Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1875, tapered, cylindrical form with footed base, incised band to shoulder, and small pouring spout, decorated around the body with three drooping floral motifs between freehand cobalt stripes. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Excellent form, decoration, and color. Very nice condition with a thin 2 1/8" crack to left of spout and a faint 3/4" line to rim above handle. H 7 3/4".
