Five-Gallon Double-Handled Stoneware Jug, Stenciled "HAMILTON / & / JONES / GREENSBORO. / PA.," circa 1875, semi-ovoid jug with tooled shoulder and two applied lug handles, featuring Hamilton & Jones maker's stenciling surrounded by stenciled foliate motifs. Stenciled "5" with flourishes at base. Crazing to spout. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with some crazing to spout. H 19".
