Two Stoneware Jugs with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG PA," circa 1865, both of semi-ovoid form, a three-gallon example with a leafy stem bearing three flowers in stages of growth, paired with a two-gallon example featuring two tulips emanating from a central stem. Three-gallon jug with some fry to cobalt, a spout chip on reverse, a chip to underside at edge, minor base nicks, and an in-the-firing iron ping near base on front. Two-gallon jug with dark mottling to salt glaze, glazed-over cracks, some fry to cobalt, and minor spout nicks. H (of two-gallon jug) 14 1/2".
