Two Stoneware Jars, PA origin, circa 1865-1875, a one-gallon jar with graduated flower blossom, stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG.PA," circa 1865, paired with a one-and-a-half-gallon jar with large tulip motif, stamped "EVAN R. JONES / PITTSTON, PA," circa 1875. Shorter jar in excellent, essentially as-made condition with some fry to cobalt. Taller jar with a rim chip, a small X-shaped line on reverse, a small Y-shaped line on reverse, some staining, and a small spot of fry to cobalt. H (of shorter) 8 1/8".
