Scarce Decorated Stoneware Butter Crock with Lid, Both Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO" circa 1850-80, decorated with a large dotted tulip on each side and fitted with ribbed handles, the lid decorated with two tulips as well. A desirable form with fitting lid. Crock has minor chips on rim. Lid has crazing on underside, as well as two large and two small chips on edge of underside. Height 5 1/2"; Width 8 1/2".
