Two Stoneware Jugs with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX," Harrisburg, PA origin, circa 1865, both of ovoid form with "spitting tulip" motif, measuring one and two gallons, the larger jug including the impressed words, "HARRISBURG. PA." Cobalt highlights to maker's marks, capacity mark on two-gallon jug, and handle terminals. Both in excellent condition, the larger jug with some staining and a small chip to interior of spout. H (of one-gallon jug) 11 3/4".
