Two One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jugs, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG, PA," circa 1865, both of ovoid form, one with double-stemmed flowering plant motif, the other with three-stemmed flowering plant motif. Taller jug with crack in base of handle, a small spout chip and a shallow, in-the-firing chip to top of spout. Other jug with two tight cracks to upper body, heavy salt residue to left side, spout chips, and a small in-the-firing surface chip to shoulder. H (of taller jug) 11 1/2".
