One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug with Stenciled Shield Motif, Stenciled "HAMILTON & / JONES. / GREENSBORO. PA.," circa 1875, ovoid jug with tooled spout, decorated with a stenciled shield surrounding Hamilton & Jones maker's stenciling, below two stenciled stars. Two spout chips. One base chip and minor chipping to bottom edge. Flakes to underside. Minor white paint flecks to spout and shoulder. H 11 1/2".
