One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG PA," circa 1865, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and flared rim, decorated with a large brushed floral motif with unusual blossom composed of graduated brushstrokes. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Two rim chips and a minor rim nick. Wear to inner rim for lid. H 9 1/4".
