One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG .PA," circa 1865, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and flattened rim, decorated with a leafy stem bearing three flowers. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. A 5/8" glazed-over rim chip, some light fry to cobalt, and a surface line across underside, not visible on interior. H 8".
