Rare One-Gallon Stoneware Advertising Jug with Incised Tree Decoration, Stamped "SOLD BY / FLAGG & ABBOTT / NASHUA / NH," attributed to Thomas Crafts & Co., Nashua, NH, circa 1830's, ovoid jug with tooled spout and ribbed handle, decorated with a incised design of a tree with long, curving branches, each tipped in impressed circles. Cobalt highlights to impressed advertising. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. Very nice condition with a 1 1/8" in-the-firing base chip, some staining, and some bits of adhered kiln residue to surface. H 11 3/4".
