Fine Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Large Ochre Tulip Decoration, Stamped "LYMAN & CLARK / GARDINER," ME origin, circa 1837-1839, highly-ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with a boldly-brushed design of a tulip in brownish ochre slip. Excellent condition with some minor surface wear to left side. H 15".
