Three Pieces of Stamp-Decorated Stoneware, Gardiner Stoneware Manufactory, Gardiner, Maine, circa 1876-1892, a one-gallon jug with impressed swan motif, stamped "S.G. SMALLEY & Co. / No. 18 Blackstone St., / BOSTON;" a six-gallon crock with impressed cow decoration, stamped "GARDINER STONE WARE / MANUFACTURERS / GARDINER, ME.;" and a two-gallon crock with two impressed swan motifs. All with cobalt accents to impressed decoration and marks. Jug in excellent condition with a small chip to base of spout and some discoloration. Larger crock with a small rim chip, a surface flake to front, and some slight scaling to surface on front and reverse (the beginnings of exfoliation). Smaller crock in excellent, essentially as-made condition. H (of tallest) 13".
