Lot of Six Salt-Glazed Stoneware Articles, American, 19th century, a one-gallon jar, stamped "J. SWANK & CO. / JOHNSTOWN, PA," circa 1875; a half-gallon jar with cobalt floral decoration, paired with a stoneware lid, attributed to van Schoik & Dunn, Middletown Point, N.J., circa 1853-1870; a large bottle, impressed "J.C. SCHNELL / SOUR MASH / KILN DRIED GRAIN / WHISKEY," fourth quarter 19th century; two bottles with Albany-slip coating under salt glaze, stamped "HENRY.OHSE," Northeastern U.S. origin, mid to late 19th century and a small bottle, stamped "T B SMITH," Mid-Atlantic origin, mid 19th century. Swank jar with a few minor rim chips, two salt drips, and minor traces of old white paint. NJ jar with minor chipping to interior of rim, a minor in-the-firing surface line to interior of rim, and minor traces of old white paint to surface. Lid in excellent condition. Schnell bottle with a small spout chip and minor spout nick. One Ohse bottle with spout chips, large base flake, and large crack. Other Ohse bottle with staining and spout chips. Smith bottle with large spout chip, rust residue, and a faint line to neck on reverse. H (of largest bottle) 8 3/4".
