Three Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jugs, Northeastern U.S. origin, 19th century, a highly-ovoid three-gallon jug, marked "III" in cobalt slip, circa 1830; a one-gallon jug with cobalt floral decoration, stamped "L; & .B.G. CHACE / SOMERSET," MA origin, circa 1850; and a four-gallon jug with slip-trailed stylized tulip motif, Newark NJ origin, third quarter 19th century. Smallest with spout and base chips and staining. Three-gallon jug in excellent, essentially as-made condition. Four-gallon jug in excellent condition with some staining. H (of tallest) 16 3/4".
