Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, attributed to the Remmey Family, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1850-1880, both of cylindrical form with tooled shoulder and squared rim, decorated with brushed foliate motifs around the shoulder. Shorter jar with a few small rim chips and some fry to cobalt. Taller jar with a long, shallow in-the-firing flake to bottom edge and a few small chips to underside at edge. H (of shorter jar) 6 3/4".
