Two Small-Sized Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, attributed to R.J. Grier, Chester County, PA, circa 1880, both of cylindrical form with tooling to shoulder and rim, decorated with matching swag designs. Shorter jar in excellent, essentially as-made condition. Taller jar in very nice, essentially as-made condition with an in-the-firing ping to shoulder and minor, in-the-firing base nick. H (of shorter jar) 7".
