Unusual Four-Gallon Slender-Bodied Stoneware Water Cooler with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1875, cylindrical form with slightly-flared opening, the shoulder decorated with a brushed floral motif on the front. Cobalt highlights bunghole and handle terminals. A curved line of cobalt underneath each handle. A small rim chip on front and reverse. A minor glazed-over rim nick on reverse. A shallow chip to bunghole. H 17 3/8".
