One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Clover Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1840, ovoid jar with squared rim and applied tab handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a split-stemmed clover motif. Cobalt drape decoration under each handle and cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Essentially as-made condition with two 1" in-the-firing base flakes and a 1/2" in-the-firing base flake. H 10".
