Rare Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Bank with Cobalt Decoration, probably Shimuel Timmerman, Lanier County, GA, late 19th century, beehive-form with carved slot in top, decorated with straight and wavy cobalt banding and covered in a runny green alkaline glaze. Exceptional form. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 4 3/4".
