Rare Glazed Redware Santa Claus Bank, probably Pennsylvania, late 19th century, orange with green glazed figure of Santa Claus with toy sack on oval base. Santa Claus with incised eyes and hand-modeled details. Toy sack with hand-modeled doll peaking out of top. Coin slots in Santa Claus and sack. Excellent condition. Height 9 3/4". Provenance: Christie"s Sale for The Seamen"s Bank for Savings, March 13, 1991, Lot #287. Ex-Collection Bill Bertoia.
