Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "J. & E. NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT," circa 1855, cylindrical jug with squared spout, decorated with a slip-trailed floral spray accented with spotted trails. Light cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. A large, thin Y-shaped crack across underside, forming a 4" vertical line at base. Some bubbling to cobalt. H 15".
