Large-Sized Stoneware Canning Jar with Cobalt Stripe Decoration, Stenciled "From / James Hamilton & Co. / Greensboro, Pa.," circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled shoulder and rounded "wax sealer" rim, decorated with six freehand stripes and the stenciled signature, "From / James Hamilton & Co. / Greensboro, Pa." Mottling to surface. A salt drip to front. A 1 1/2" chip to bottom edge of rim and a shallow 5/8" chip to top of rim. H 9 1/2".
