Rare Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "HUMISTON AND WARNER. / SOUTH AMBOY," NJ origin, circa 1830, squat-shaped, ovoid jar with tall collar and applied lug handles, decorated with a flowering plant with curved stem. Light cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a 3/4" base chip on reverse.
