Iron-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Stamped "CHARLESTOWN," Frederick Carpenter, Charlestown, MA, early 19th century, ovoid jug with heavily-tooled base and tooled spout, decorated with a light, dipped iron-oxide decoration to the upper and lower body. Very nice condition. Chip to top of rim. Some typical small in-the-firing flaws to surface, including iron pings. H 10".
