Unusual Two-Gallon Stoneware Syrup Jug with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Stamped "NEW YORK / STONEWARE CO. / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.," circa 1875, cylindrical jug with flared and pinched spout, decorated with a slip-trailed foliate motif, accented with stripes. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. A 5/8" chip to side of rim. A salt drip to reverse.
