Six-Gallon Stoneware Water Cooler with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Stamped "FORT EDWARD STONE WARE CO. / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.," circa 1880, keg-form cooler with circular bunghole, decorated with incised and cobalt-highlighted banding to the shoulder and base, the midsection decorated with a slip-trailed foliate motif. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. A 7 1/2" restored crack from rim on right side of cooler. A small in-the-firing chip to interior of rim. H 15 1/2".
