Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "JOHN P. EBERHARDT & CO. / NEW GENEVA. PA.", circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, featuring John P. Eberhardt maker's stenciling surrounding a stenciled foliate motif. Freehand stripes to shoulder and base. Base with stenciled "2" flanked by stenciled flourishes. A few tiny rim chips. A small, thin crack at base on side of jar. Some staining.
