One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG", circa 1865, ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a brushed tulip with stamens, emanating from a leafy stem. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals. Numerous short, vertical lines to base. A minor, glazed-over nick to spout.
