Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Iron-Oxide Decoration, Stamped "BOSTON", attributed to Frederick Carpenter, Boston, MA, early 19th century, ovoid jug with heavily-tooled spout and footed base, decorated with a dipped iron-oxide decoration to neck and base. Traces of old green paint to surface. Shallow chipping to base. Some typical small in-the-firing flaws to surface.
