Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, Northeastern U.S. origin, second quarter 19th century, a jug with coggled shoulder and brushed floral motif, probably NJ origin; paired with an ovoid jar with large lug handles and brushed foliate motif, Cornwall, NY origin. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market lot, purchased by the consignor decades ago. Jug with a flake to side of spout and minor nick to front of spout. Jar with small rim chips, a flake to underside at edge, a second minor flake to underisde, and a small in-the-firing flake to body.
