Rare and Fine Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar with Stenciled Pinwheel Decoration, Stenciled "Hamilton & Jones", Greensboro, PA, circa 1870, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, the front featuring "Hamilton & Jones" maker's stenciling underscored by a geometric flourish. Decorated below with a stenciled group of a five pinwheels. Two cobalt stripes to shoulder. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 8 1/4".
