Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Stripe Decoration, attributed to S.A. Colvin & Sons, Jane Lew, WV, circa 1880, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a large freehand "3" surrounded by vertical and horizontal cobalt stripes. Chipping to one handle. A small chip to opposite handle. A thin, sealed Y-shaped to base, forming a network of thin lines to underside, one of which also continues a short distance onto base.
