One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Iron-Oxide Decoration, Stamped "CHARLESTOWN, MA", attributed to Barnabas Edmands, Charlestown, MA, early 19th century, highly-ovoid jug with footed base and tooling to neck and shoulder, the upper third and base of the jug dipped in iron-oxide slip. Essentially as-made condition with some typical in-the-firing flaws to surface and a 1 5/8" worn spot to base, probably an in-the-firing flaw.
