One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Iron-Oxide Decoration, Stamped "CHARLESTOWN, MA", attributed to Barnabas Edmands, Charlestown, MA, early 19th century, highly-ovoid jug with footed base and tooled neck, the shoulder, neck, and base of the jug covered in a dipped iron-oxide slip. Essentially as-made condition with some typical, minor in-the-firing flaws to surface and a 3/8" chip to underside at edge, probably in-the-firing.
