Two New York State Stoneware Jars, second half 19th century, a two-gallon ovoid jar with freehand cobalt "2" flanked by wreath-like brushwork, stamped "J. HART. / SHERBURNE", paired with an eight-quart ovoid jar with brushed and slip-trailed floral decoration, attributed to the Whites Pottery, Utica, NY. Hart jar with significant sealed cracks on underside, extending onto base. Unsigned Whites jar with minor rim chips, some water glass staining to interior, and a 1 1/8" hairline above one handle.
